EVENT REGISTRATION
National CleanUp Day @
Nesbitt Shoals Nature Park
Join us Saturday, September 17th • 9 am - 11 am
3100 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck, SC
We look forward to a great event! The work will begin on Saturday, September 17th at 9 am. We plan on working for about 2 hours.
An important part of this litter sweep is logging our observations on the SC Aquarium Litter-Free Digital Journal. We'll start the event with a quick and easy overview of data collection practices. The Tyger River Foundation with compile our findings and report this data.
The Tyger River Foundation will supply gloves, bags, litter grabbers, and data collection materials.
A portion of the clean-up activities will take place along the banks and islands in the Tyger River. If you are able, bring waders or river shoes to help clean up in the river. No boats are needed at this event.
To reduce plastic waste please bring your own water bottle (we'll have a water cooler for refills). Some areas at the Park are on steep slopes, uneven and/or rocky terrain. Long pants and boots are recommended. Nesbitt Shoals Nature Park does not have restroom facilities. Please plan accordingly.
Participants must register so we can accommodate everyone. For group registration, email LRevan@TygerRiver.org or call 864-586-6600.
Please note: All participants are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to check in and discuss any necessary accommodations.
