UPDATED: Nesbitt Shoals Nature Park Clean Up - Saturday 9/18 and Thursday 9/23.

Come join us to clean up Nesbitt Shoals Nature Park! We plan to re-open the park at 3100 Walnut Grove Rd, Roebuck SC 29376 and need your help. We have two opportunities to accommodate different schedules. We will be at the property on Thursday, September 18th, 2021, 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Then, we will put in two hours on Saturday, September 23rd, 2021, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM.

We need your help removing trash, clearing trails, and making repairs. Before we can re-open, we'll need to:

Remove dangerous rope swings.

Pick up litter along paths, parking areas, and the river's edge.

Remove small fallen trees along the path.

Remove one large tree near the river/bridge over Walnut Grove Rd.

Blow leaves off the parking lot.

Weed around the entrance.

Improve safety by making the parking lot more observable.

Repair kiosks by installing shingles, repairing plexiglass, and painting information areas.

Installing signs.

Installing mulch and/or woodchips.

Come join us and meet our board! While everyone is welcome to join, some tasks will require certain skills (landscaping, carpentry, etc.). If you have any special skills or equipment, please let us know!
